Jack Evans contacted me to retrieve stolen data on a power source. It was supposed to arrive with the Toronto ferry into the Chinatown docks on Sunday, pass through the city and exit somewhere in the west. Before then we need to destroy the data and, if possible, create a copy.
I contacted Ghost, the hacker, Mal who’s unfortunately back in a hospital bed, and Bullseye who’s always happy to help. Ghost decided that he’d have more time to do his job on the ferry than on the street, so I bought him and Bullseye tickets on a plane to Detroit, where they got on the ferry. There they localized the object containing the information, removed it, and held it secure until they approached the docks. Then Ghost taped the object onto his hand, and dropped them both into the lake. There one of my toolbots waited on the bottom and picked it up, we then got it onto a car and drove to a non-descript and fairly secure location, where it will wait for a week or so until Ghost is ready to dig into it’s no doubt gruelling security systems.
The people we took the information from are certainly looking for it by now, and once the serious hacking begins they’ll probably be notified. Next week will be serious, and we need to prepare. Hopefully Mal will feel better, and that Blackguard fellow might provide some additional support.
