A quick and successful mission. Bullseye’s contact Gregor had a package in Chicagoland Stadium that quickly needed to get to a location just past the gate in Hampshire. Mal and Almighty had time to help, and met up at a place where they rent out cars.
Tha plan was to put the object in Almighty’s bike, while pretending it was in the truck driven by Bullseye, and that Mal would follow on a “secretly” AI-piloted hoverboard. The route was pretty much a straight shot on the freeway, and we kept it that way. Two airborne drones would provide aerial support, and a toolbot was stashed in the back of the truck for no particular reason.
Some ways along a raptor drone showed up, carrying two humanoids. The recently upgraded Wasp 1.2 managed to swoop in from above and shoot it down in two bursts of fire, however, and that was that. How the drone operator knew about the transport, and that the package was stored in the bike instead of the truck, remains a mystery.
As we hit the gate, the GLU guards quickly let both Bullseye and Mal through to the other side, but Almighty was not so lucky. After awkwardly speaking to the guards and waiting for their supervisor he (finally) paid a generous bribe to be let through without any paperwork.
After that the delivery was easy peasy and Bullseye called in with Gregor and secured our payment. Apart from the awkwardness at customs it all went very well. Should be quicker with the bribe in the future. Or bring Paladin along to talk us out of trouble like that.
